History
Alex is a gifted AI engineer turned physician, who founded Scribematic in his 2nd year at Noorda College of Medicine. His background includes a PhD in AI, an MBA, a medical degree and his current experience in residency at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical, providing him with a unique perspective on solving complex healthcare challenges through intelligent design.
Calvinis a lifelong technologist who has led companies and customers through every major technology disruption, from the first PC's at age nine to the current AI era. He previously founded Icon Interactive during the early web wave. In 2008, Calvin founded the world-renowned firm Bottle Rocket which he grew to over 350 Rocketeers, earned four Apple App Store Hall of Fame Awards and an Emmy nomination and built mission-critical mobile applications for Chick-fil-A, NBC, NPR, LEGO, Southwest Airlines, Baylor Scott and White and 540 other Fortune 100 and 5000 businesses.
In 2022, Calvin and Alex began working together. Eventually Calvin joined Alex and pivoted the company to Matic in 2025 to solve complex problems across the full lifecycle of healthcare leveraging innovation, XD and AI.
